Bartlett Illinois - A man broke into the Constable Police
Supply Company, getting away with two police radios.
He was arrested a few days later when he returned to
the same business and
attempted to sell the stolen radios back to them. An
astonished sales clerk asked the crook to wait a
moment while he talked to the manager. The man was
still waiting when the cops arrived.

What Has Crime Stoppers Done For Me Lately?
Crime Stoppers is an extremely effective crime fighting
concept that solves crime and keeps our streets safe.
Crime Stoppers is a resource of all the law enforcement
departments both locally and internationally and shows
an average conviction rate of 95 percent. Crime
Stoppers saves law enforcement agencies thousands of
dollars in investigation time by offering a 24/7 hotline to
which callers can report crime anonymously. Calls to
Crime Stoppers assist in putting police on the right
track by identifying individuals who are responsible for
committing crimes. Today there are some 1,200 Crime
Stoppers programs in 20 countries, including the United
States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, South
Africa, Central America and the Caribbean. On an
accumulative basis since 1976 tips to Crime Stoppers
have been responsible for the arrests of around
600,000 individuals and led to the seizure of close to $7
billlion in stolen property and illicit drugs. Crime
Stoppers does work and the DuPage County Crime
Stoppers is in need of your donation in order to
replenish their reward and general fund. Please help by
sending your donations to P.O. Box 174 Glen Ellyn,
Illinois 60138-0174.
